There's a stupid little bug in the Finder that's been there since Day One. I ran into it again this weekend and I thought I'd post it here, where it might be seen by Apple. Say you have a folder that contains several dozen folders. Do a Select All and then double-click on one. (This always happens to me by accident... I mean to drag them to another folder, but my finger slips and the click becomes a double-click.) The first dozen or so folders open, then you get a dialog that tells you "No more windows can be opened. [OK]". Fine, I press OK. Then another dialog: "No more windows can be opened. [OK]". I press OK. Then again. And again. The dialog comes up once for every window that couldn't be displayed. Depending on how many folders you just tried to open and how many windows were open before that, this could go on for a Long Time. Aargh! The Finder is smart enough to put this dialog up only once when you open too many Get Info boxes, but it's not that smart when it comes to open folders. Apple, please fix! David D.
