A message for Anders (userid "ath"), somewhere in Scandinavia: Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately, my return mail to you bounced, so perhaps you'll see this posting. Doing a reply to what was in your header, resulted in "To: megatest!helios!ath@pyramid.com", which bounced from helios. Chances are replies from others are bouncing, too, so if you'd like to send me (era@ncar.ucar.edu) another message, I'll take a look at it and see if I can figure out what's causing the problem. This was my reply to your original message: Thanks for the suggestions. You were exactly right, all I had to do to get past the "statusdict" line, was to put that "serverdict begin 0 exitserver" line in front of it. Unfortunately, there's some other stuff in the Apple dictionary that Imagen's postscript implementation won't process. Another net person pointed out to me that lines containing "//setrealdevice" and "//execjob" are LaserWriter-specific stuff ... this stuff is found in the Apple dictionary in about lines 10-14. Imagen's interpreter gets pretty upset about it. Fortunately, it turns out that Imagen has provided a way around all this. One deletes the Apple dictionary from his file(s), and replaces it with a command "(dictv52.ps)run" to read in a LaserPrep-compatible dictionary from the Imagen's disk. Things are printing fine now, and less of the host/printer link is being eaten up by those damned dictionaries.
