I would appreciate it if any of you might be able to suggest a GOOD Mac program for helping a person examine and plan their household budget. I would like something that not only allows you to enter information regarding check- book expenditures, but also entries you might want to make regarding charge cards, and out-of-pocket cash expenses. Please e-mail me your suggestions. And thanks for your help. Jim Collymore

I would HIGHLY suggest Managing Your Money. It is a really well done Mac program (actually it started out on the PC, but that is quite difficult to tell). The Accounts are easy to set up and it has a lot of personal planning features built in (insurance, loans, accurate tax estimates, etc). It has special types of transactions for credit cards, cash, and checks as well as handling transfers easily and it simplifies complex transactions (like dividing the paycheck up into all of the various governments, etc.) by having recurring transactions. I have been using MacMoney for a couple of years now and think it is the best value of any program I have purchased. It will do all that was asked, plus it allows you to set monthly budgets for various expense categories so you can track your progress. It has flexible reporting and is utterly reliable (doesn't crash/lose data). If you have specific questions, feel free to e-mail me. Ronald A.
