[comp.sys.mac] $6 for New TrackBall

jhoung@jarthur.Claremont.EDU (Jack Houng) (04/05/89)

Recently one of my friends here at Harvey Mudd College modified a trackball
for Atari game machines to a trackball that works with the Atari ST. It cost
only 6 WHOLE BUCKS while the modification on cost him 6 more.
12 bucks for a fairly smooth operating trackball! I've
looked into ads for trackballs for the Mac and the most decent ones cost
over a hundred! Personally, I think 12 bucks is easier on the wallet.
Atari uses the nine-pin interfaces. Now, I'm not very familiar with
the mouse interfaces of the Mac mice but I know they dont use nine-pins. Does
anyone know to convert the nine-pin to the Mac bus interface. We have
all the necessary documents on the game trackball and it's conversion to
an ST trackball. Please send all mail directly to me
