There has been a lot of suggestions for utilities that will change the creator of a file, one file at a time. If you have a whole group to change, there is a program called Lone Ranger, by Jon Pugh, which will do a whole HFS tree/sub-tree at once. As far as I can tell it's PD. I pulled it off a local BBS (MadMac) so it had better be. I don't know where all it's available, perhaps sumex? -ME

MPW Shell also provides capabilities for doing stuff like this and a whole
lot more. wildcards, scripts, etc, a real command-line junkies dreamworld.
There are a lot of things I would not want to do from MPW Shell. There are
also a lot of things I would want to do from MPW Shell.
Just a thought...
