[comp.sys.mac] Mac II vs. Mac IIx

irawan@chocktaw.cis.ohio-state.edu (hindra irawan) (04/05/89)

This may have been discussed before, if so, I apologize.

What advantages does Mac IIx have over Mac II + PMMU ?

Thanks!

One obvious advantage... It's faster. Even though they both have a 16Mhz
CPU, the II has a '020, while the IIx has an '030 - more bang for the buck. The
'030 has on board data and instruction caches that speed things up, in addition
to having faster logic overall.
