After I posted the message yesterday about Stuffit 2.0 being a possible trojan horse, I got some mail today about problems someone had, possibly with the trojan. Here it is (edited): "Could this possibly explain the problem I had last night? After downloading files I've saved from the net, ( among them, the most recently posted StuffIT files) and running BinHex the following happened. "I powered off my Plus for a while, came back to continue work and system would not reboot. I got a system error on the system file (or mac picture), upon resetting I got a bomb. I then powered off my CMS40 hard drive and rebooted from my 6.2 system disk and re-copied these files on to my disk. After that, my Plus came up fine. "An additional note, while my disk was "hosed" and I was booted from the floppy, I opened the hard disk and there were only a few files such as CLOSEUP, .profile (for Aztec C) a noname folder#1 (with nothing in it) and a few other files on relatively little importance. "I am not pointing any fingers yet but was looking for possible leads. I will be testing the system tonight, since no major damage "seems" to have occured and will post an update when completed. "Would you post this to the net for me? Any feedback would be appreciated.
