Michael, I don't know if you are the proper person to report things to with regards to MacWrite II, but since you have the nice Claris banner, thought I'd give it a whirl. I received MacWrite II 2 days ago. The new features look nice and all, but I've already been able to create a nasty file: However, even in the short period of time I have been using MW II (about 2 hours), I have already been able to create a document which will cause a system crash on save attempts. I set up a doc with graphics in the headers, two column text, two custom styles, and about 5 pages in length. Any attempt to do a "Save As..." to another format causes a system bomb with ID=01. The resultant MS Word 3.0 file weighed in at just over 1 meg, and was unreadable by Word. I suspect it wasn't closed properly at crash time... With this same document, if I delete the custom styles and attempt a "Save as...", I will get "The Disk is Full". This happens when saving to either of my 40 meg externals, both which are less than 50% filled. Figure that out... (pasted that in from a message I wrote to another user) I am running on an SE/30 under 6.0.3. In an effort to narrow things down, I booted up sans my many INITs. Still had the same problems. I have the file sitting on disk, if you'd (or someone else) would be interested in seeing it. I really want to like MW II, and I really do like the new features. But being able to randomly create a bomb in the first few hours use is a bit disheartening.
