The Pointing Device CDEV available (I believe) for anonymous ftp from Sumex, allows you to set your Mouse Tracking and double-click values to anything from ridiculously slow to ridiculously fast. You do this by setting the motion thresholds at which the motion gets mutiplied x2, x3, x4, etc., up to x8. There are radio buttons for all of the standard Mouse CDEV speeds plus Very Slow and Very Fast -- these pop values into the Custom boxes so you can base your own values on them.
