My local friendly Apple Dealer has just downloaded the Apple Tape Backup 2.0.1 software, and with it there is an INIT called Tape Disk. Apart from a README which warns not to use it with MacroMaker, there's no indication what this INIT is supposed to do. Can anyone fill me in? Is its use (a) optional, (b) obligatory, or (c) only required in special circumstances? And just what is it for?

TapeDisk will allow you to mount volume backup tapes as a regular "disk" albeit _much_ slower than a real one... It is entirely optional to use. +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Disclaimer: Apple has no connection with my postings. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Byron Han, Communications Architect At Apple, we change the world everyday. If so, get rid of it! It is the only piece of software I know of that's so dangerous, it can actually *KILL* you. You see, you can die of old age... :-) --- Alexis Rosen alexis@ccnysci.{uucp,bitnet}
