There is a new GIFFER....GIFFER version 1.03....This version is GREATLY improved over 1.0. It no longer crashes after opening a couple of large GIF files on a 2Mb Mac (it might be that this new version used the PMMU in the Mac IIcx I was using?). I sorted my entire private GIF archive (several megs worth) with GIFFER not crashing or running out of memory once. This is definately worth the investment of $20 for the shareware fee!!! If you want to give the new GIFFER a test drive, it is available for anonymous ftp (password is your e-mail address please) on hubcap.clemson.edu (192.5.219.1) in pub/gif/viewers in binhex format (text transfer). Now for a new version of Vision Lab???? Keep those GIF files coming (send them only to mmccann@hubcap.clemson.edu) in binhex or uuencode format.
