[comp.sys.mac] Stand Alone Documents. HELP !!!

POTELLE@MAINE.BITNET (John A Potelle) (04/14/89)

Wouldn't you know it. The one time I don't back up a Hard Disk, it
goes bonkers. The hard disk, floppy drive and power supply had to
be replaced on my MAC SE and I didn't back up the hard disk. Its
only one month old; I didn't expect such a catastrophic loss this
early in the game...

Anyway, I had a shareware application that took text files and turned
them into stand alone ('locked') text display applications. I don't
remember the name. Does anyone know what program I'm talking about
and can tell me where I can get another copy ? Thanks.

John--

I believe that the application you are thinking of is called "TakeALetter".
It should be on the sumex archive under utilities, as I recall, but if you
can't FTP it then check and see if anyone you know has recently purchased a
Jasmine hard drive -- the program is (last I checked) included in their PD/
shareware bundle.

As last resort, email me and I'll see if I can dig up a copy.

There was also something called DOCter 2.35, but I don't remember where I
saw it.
