Howdy! I'm very new to the Mac world, having just bought my friend's old and semi-functional 512 mac for an extremely low price. I plan to upgrad the ROM and internal drive and then sic my Dad on it. Dad, who has been computerless since his Osborne died (and some of you think MS/DOS people are archaic!!) would probably make the transition much more easily (and cheaply for me) if he could use his old printer with the Mac. His printe is an old Diablo 620 daisy wheel with serial interface. I figure that I can just cable it to the Mac, since the printer port is serial as well. only thing I now need is a printer driver for the gosh darned thing. Could anyone recommend a source of such a driver--either in software or in some book somewhere? I plan to set Dad up with WriteNow most probably--and will probably use MacWrite in the beginning. Thanks in advance for your time. I hope this is an appropriate newsgroup in which to post such a request. -conrad ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conrad J. Jacoby P.O. Microsoft Work 3.02 includes such a printer driver with settings
for several daisy wheel printers, including yours, on the second
printer utility disk. You select the driver with the chooser just
like you would select the Imagewriter or the Laserwriter Driver.
