I am trying to find out about Macintosh hardware and software that people have _used_ (as opposed to read about) to make 8-bit animated videos. My specific goal is scientific visualization, e.g., making a video tape of time-dependent contour maps of functions f(x,y,t). The idea is to generate color plots on a Mac II and dump the plots to a standard video recorder. I am familiar with some software from the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), but they provide no hardware solutions. If there is sufficient interest, I will be glad to summarize responses to the net. Henry Greenside
