I am trying to round out my archives of binaries.mac and sources.mac, but I need an index (or set of same) for these. Does anyone have one? Who else archives this stuff? These archives are available to anyone via anon uucp. Instructions will be forthcoming, hopefully via the moderator. I have written several times to the moderator with no response. I'm assuming now that the mail path is broken. If you see this message, please write to me, hopefully I can reply along the path your mail comes (since I cannot along the path the binaries come!) In addition to asking about an index and other archive sites, I have been urgently requesting that the volume-number and sub-header format as used in binaries.ibm.pc and sources.unix (and others) be adopted for binaries.mac and sources.mac. This would greatly simplify archiving via automation. In case the moderator doesn't see this posting, perhaps anyone else who thinks this is a good idea might send in a similar suggestion .. surely SOMEBODY's will make it. - Steven Parker
