[comp.sys.mac] 300 meg for $2700 vs 600 meg for $3200??

saw in the latest macweek a Jasmine 300 meg drive for $2700 and and
few pages later, a lacie 610 meg drive for $3200. which one would I buy
if I could afford it anyway?? Yipes! What about the eraseble optical
 for $5000??? (optical is what, 500 meg or so??) The lacie rated
pretty good in a recent comparison of 80-100 meg drives in macworld...
