[comp.sys.mac] virtual init, one more time

dorourke@polyslo.CalPoly.EDU (David M. O'Rourke) (05/02/89)

Well until system 7.0 comes out I need some questions answered...

  1) Does the Mac IIx version of the virtual init work on an SE/30

  2) Does the virtual init work in 1 megabyte of memory, and if it does
how slow is it with something like MPW 3.0 or FullWrite Pro.

Any help, comments, problems with the virtual init would be welcome.

  Thanks in advance

greetings,

To answer David's question Virtual does indeed work on SE/30
if you have the 030 version. It works pretty well infact. But
if you only have 1 meg, expect some applications like MPW and FWP
to be slow with page swapping. John Garber recommends at least
2 meg.
