Here at UW we have a room with ~100 Mac+'s which are used to teach an intro programming course. Up till now we've been using Imagewriter II's for printing. The problem is that they break down fairly often, which is not surprising considering the use(abuse) they get. We're looking to replace them. Does anyone have any suggestions? Reliability is our main criterion. The output has to be legible, but draft quality is all that is necessary - they student don't have to produce any graphical output. I know there are a couple Imagewriter clones out. Would they fare any better? What other printers could be hooked up to an Apple Share network with relative easy? If the price was low enough (per page) we'd consider investing in laser printers, but we already know from experience that the Apple laser printers are not heavy duty enough to stand up in our environment (+ the cost of cartridges really drives up the price per page) Please respond via email and I'll post a summary if I find anything out. -ME
