A friend is shopping for a Unix* based circut board design workstation. Something along the lines of an Apollo, or Sun workstation would be nice. However the budget is $50k Cdn. for everything. Everthing is deemed as: - Operating system (multi-user, Unix strongly desired) - 512-512 pixel by 16 colour. - CAD tools should should be of the "What You See Is What You Get" flavour. - 2 RS232 dial up ports for remote users (They have modems). - 80M of harddisk with streaming cartridge tape backup.
