While in the process of converting PC spreadsheets to the Mac I have discovered a rather irritating problem. The dates that exist in Excel are stored as a serial number referenced to a "date 0". As it turns out, the "date 0" on the Mac differs from that on the PC by 1462 days and therefore converting the spreadsheets results in a date change that is 4 yrs and 1 day different. I am wondering if anyone out there knows of a "quick fix" for this problem. I called Microsoft and the man told me that I could "cut and paste" my way back to normality, but I kinda doubt that I am going to do this to the 100+ spreadsheets that are going to be converted. Any and all help will be appreciated. Andrew W. Markham <markham@sunmail.cs.unc.edu> Undergraduate Assistant Computer Science Department University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
