Sorry. 'scuse me. I was wondering if anyone experienced the following and/or knows a way of repair. My system diskette seems to have been corrupted, rather odd results: It boots okay (i.e. the SE "finds" the system info), the freespace is (approx.) the same, but upon opening the folder, all the icons (including the 'system' icon) in the left column are missing. Again, it was able to boot and all the DA's are still available, etc. But some cdev's that were in the 'left column' that are now missing, are REALLY MISSING. Something's amiss (I'm quick, aren't I). I tried to use the disk first aid utility that came with the mac, it said it couldn't read my system disk! Good tool!^/ (Note: system 6.0.2) Is there any utility that someone could point me to that would enable me to save my system?? Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ron "Backup? What's a backup?"
