----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, I am looking for a good fortran compiler for the Mac. I will be porting fortran code for a VAX to a Mac, and wish to make the process as easy as possible. I would prefer to use it with MPW, and would also like to use SADE I am currently leaning toward "Language Systems FORTRAN" Any suggestions, comments, or information would be greatly appreciated. We have Absoft and Language Systems. There used to be a lot of problems with Absoft, and there still are some, such as the fact that the linker occasionally decides not to work. One of our scientists has done a lot of good stuff with FaceIt and Absoft. I use Language Systems. On the research codes we have tried, it produces code which is significantly faster than that which Absoft produces on Mac II's with a 68881. I really like being able to write my user interface in Object Pascal and limit FORTRAN to the number crunching and porting of dusty decks. LS also has an adequate console window if you don't want to do any work on the interface at all.
