I have had some difficulty with SuperPaint 1.1. I cannot seem to
invert text in the draw mode. I enter the text, select it, and choose
both flip horizontally and flip vertically. SP thinks about it but does
not change the selected item. I entered the text in the draw mode, too.
Mac Draw does this fine, but not SuperPaint. Can anyone tell me what I'm
doing wrong? By the way, flip horiz. and flip vert. are not dimmed
on the menu as some other items are, so I assume they are functional.

The answer is that you copy the text to paint and then invert it.
Note, however, that the flipped text won't be precisely the same
size as the original. I use this technique to make table markers.
Create the text in draw mode. Copy to Paint. Flip vertical and
horizontal.
Superpaint 2.0 does flip text in draw mode, however. My
recollection is that MacDraw also flipped text even in
its old version.
