I recently got a SE/30. One day last week, a walked out of my office for some coffee and while I came back, the screen was different. At first, it was hard to define exactly how it was different, except that it looked brighter and was less legible. On closer examination and comparison, the difference seems to be that it is smearing white dots slightly more in the horizontal direction. As a result, vertical single pixel wide black lines appear much less dark than before. It is livable, but I prefered it the old way. Three questions for the net: * Is this an indication that my Mac display is about to go boom? * Does anyone else have any experience with this? * Is there any adjustment on the analog board to change this? It doesn't seem to warant the replacement of the entire video board. Also, I would be leery of taking this to a dealer unless I knew what I wanted adjusted; they would be likely to look at it and say "its not busted". Many thanks to anyone who can supply answers, Bill Pugh Dept. of Computer Science University of Maryland, College Park pugh@mimsy.umd.edu
