Perhaps someone can suggest a solution to a problem I have encountered. I have a Mac II with 5 Megs of RAM, 40 Meg HD and two monitors. One of the serial ports (Printer) is connected to a LocalTalk network which includes a FastPath4 gateway. The other port (modem) is directly connected to a PDP-11 (the 11 is configured for 4800 baud). Until today I have had no problem communicating with the 11. However today I get no response from the 11 (or a Sun3/50) using either the normal modem port or the printer port. However communication over LocalTalk works as normal. The communication software I use for the serial ports is VersaTerm and I am running System 6.0.2. There has been no hardware change in my system, and the only software addition is NCSA Telnet to enable communication via the FastPath. Any suggestions?
