[comp.sys.mac] mapping software for mac?

jc@minya.UUCP (John Chambers) (05/23/89)

A couple of months back, I posted a query in a couple of newsgroups on
the subject of computerized mapping software. I have a friend who is
in the civil engineering business who was interested in learning what
was available. I got several responses describing stuff that runs on
the IBM PC and clones, but I was rather disappointed that there were
no responses that mentioned the macintosh. Is there truly no mapping
package for the mac? This strikes me as unlikely.

Get in touch with the bureau of the Census, Washington (their office is
actually in Maryland). They are doing some interesting stuff on the Mac to
support the 1990 census. They had a demo at the developer's conference.

Just heard about a "high-end" program called MapGrafix, by ComGrafix
Inc. of Clearwater FL (813/443-6807).
