Since the MAC implementations of X are relatively expensive ($500) and we have lots of Mac user's (200), I am looking for a cheap alternative. Is MIT working an a version of X11 for the Mac? If not, what are other alternatives that are reasonably priced? If we have to spend $500 x 200, then that is enough money to warrant someone trying to port it in-house. I would think that one alternative would be to cut a site (or volume) license with an X vendor. Greg Minshall Kinetics, a division of Excelan, Inc. minshall@kinetics.com
