I recall hearing once about some sort of BBS system a la AppleLink that Apple was sponsoring, called MacNet I believe. Whatever happened to it? Does it exist? Is it any good? What are the details? Robert ------ ra_robert@gsbacd.uchicago.edu ------ generic disclaimer: all my opinions are mine ------ MOFO knows!

Robert, I have been told that all you have to do to join MacNET is to buy the software from Connect, Inc. or through mail-order houses such as MacWarehouse. I believe the price (mail order) is about $60. I was also told that there exists a demo-version of the MacNET software that gives you 15 free minutes of logon time, but I haven't heard where to get it. Hope this helps, and let us all know what you find. Jeff
