In <10974@orstcs.CS.ORST.EDU>, Scott wrote about his troubles trying to set up a color StartupScreen for his Mac II. Well Scott, I have a color StartupScreen, and the way I did it was to save it in StartupScreen format in Pixel Paint 2.0. (I'm sorry if you expected some kind of answer, but I have a problem too...) About Backdrop 2.16: I'm trying to get Backdrop to display a COLOR backdrop, but all it seems to do is show it in black and white, then cover it over with the desktop! (Which, by the way, is blue with white dots.) Does anyone know of a way to get backdrop to show my color screens? I've tried using the same file I use for my startup screen, and created and PICT resource and everything like that, but it doesn't seem to work. I read the documentation with Backdrop, but it doesn't help me much.... Any help would be appreciated. Please e-mail mail, 'cause I can't keep up with all the traffic here. ad*THANKS*vance ------------------------------------------- John S.
