I sent this today to the guy who is in charge of FONT directory on SUMEX. Hope they will do something. I've just downloaded one of the Adobe screen font files (Helvetica Light Black) from Sumex. As expected the file is the original corrupted version of Adobe Font file, that was distributed when Adobe didn't have the slightest idea on how to write MacIntosh resource forks. If you install that file on your system, you guarantee yourself spectacular crashes. The exact nature of the problem is a little hard to explain here. If you need more info run MPW RezDet on this font and/or read one of the Apple Technical notes that deal with FONT/NFNT. Please REMOVE all old Adobe screen font files from Sumex and replace them with new versions if posssible. GGIERGIEL@UCIVMSA
