[comp.sys.mac] NON-Apple Color Monitors?

dan@s3dawn.ARPA (Dan Peterka) (06/03/89)

Can any VGA-capable monitor be used on a Mac II system? The Apple video card
and VGA both use analog RGB monitors at 640X480 resolutions. On another note,
are there any inexpensive 8 bit video cards for the Mac which can drive any
of the 13" multisync (eg NEC 3D) monitors which are capable of 1120x842
resolution?

Dan,

Any multisynchronous monitor that can sync up to a horizontal frequency of
35.000 KHz and a vertical frequency of 66.7 Hz with a resolution of 640 x 480,
should be able to accept the scan rate from the Apple video card.
