[comp.sys.mac] TOPS for the PC

We are contemplating hooking up PC(s) to Appletalk using TOPS.  We are currentlyusing TOPS on a MAC only network.  I need some opinions/experiences with TOPS
on the PC relating to printing using a laserwriter. 

Is the printing thru TOPS transparent to the user?
Are there any incompatibilities with DOS programs e.g. 1-2-3, Excel, etc?
What type of printer does one select within a DOS program if Laserwriter is
     not a choice?
