[comp.sys.mac] 1 Megabyte SIMMs for the SE

mvg@pnet51.cts.com (Mitchell Gossman) (06/07/89)

A while ago I made a post inquiring into the best source for 1 MB RAM
suitable for upgrading a Mac SE, and general information on the procedures
for a do-it-yourself upgrade. I've received many inquiries and information
about the subject - it seems there's a lot of interest in this, no doubt
related to the drop in prices and the impending System 7.0 memory-hog.

Hence, I want to again solicit any information anyone has.

Anyone knowing about good 1 MB SIMM sources, brands, and procedures for
doing memory upgrades on the Mac SE, especially from the point of view of
price, please send mail to my address summarizing what you know. I'm also
interested in things to avoid, such as bad chips and crooked suppliers.
After two weeks or so I will post a summary of my findings for all to
enjoy!
