I was walking through a mall last weekend and noticed a Comodore 64 doing a demo of a game called BattleChess where the pieces actually go through a little fight when a piece is taken. I like to play chess and love this idea. I also love the Macintosh. Does anyone know if this game is available for the Mac? Now, future? Thanks, -rsvp

I was walking through a mall last weekend and noticed a Comodore 64 doing a demo of a game called BattleChess where the pieces actually go through a little fight when a piece is taken. This game is available for the IBM and it is awesome. I have seen several games for the IBM running on Macs with IBM resolution, such as Kings Quest and Liesure Suit Larry. My question is 'Does anyone out there know how to port a game like these over to the Mac? This game is definately worth it.

I BELIEVE THE GAME YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IS CALLED ARCHON,AND THERE IS A VERSION FOR THE MACINTOSH. MY EXPERIENCE WITH RAPID MOUSE MOVEMENT TELLS ME THAT THE GAME MAY NOT BE AS PLAYABLE WITHOUT A JOYSTICK, BUT FOR $40, IT MIGHT BE WORTH IT. -- ------------------------------------------------------------- FidoNet: 1:161/445 UUCP: sun!apple!bmug!<User.Name> INTERNET: bmug!<User.Name>@apple.COM or <User.Name>@bmug.fidonet.org USNAIL: BMUG, 1442A Walnut St. #62, Berkeley, CA 94709-1496 ------------------------------------------------------------- BMUG Newsletter articles due June 15!
