[comp.sys.mac] Life and Death, Software Toolworks

N51LS801@NCSUVM.BITNET (David F. Austin) (06/07/89)

I read a favorable review of "Life and Death" in the 6/6/89 New York Times
"Peripherals" column (L. R. Shannon). Has anyone else tried out this software?
What do you think of it? Please e-mail any responses. Thanks.

The salespeople at the Apple dealership where I work like this game so
much that one is willing to absorb the cost of shipping a copy Federal
Express Saturday delivery in order to give to her friend who is a surgeon
for his birthday!

We've had a lot of fun killing people in this simulation. It starts off
with an appendectomy and if you do a poor surgical removal, the game will
send you off to Med School. It gets even more complex after that.

Software Toolworks has consistently released excellent games for the Mac-
intosh, but this game I would rate up there with some of the Flight
Simulators. I wonder how the magazines will review it. $30 list price.

It's pretty entertaining. My girlfriend loves it, but keeps killing
patients.
