I posted a couple of days ago for info about a patch to the Desktop Manager INIT so as to use it on my SE/30. Thanks to all the people who responded to my message, and to the one person who posted a copy of the patcher to me. In fact it is the Finder that needs to be patched, and once this is done the Desktop Manager INIT seems to work fine. No more annoying delays waiting for the desktop file to be written. Incidentally, the patcher program was written by Harry N. Starr, and I also send my thanks to him!
