Has anyone succeeded in using SF&I to format the Fujitsu M 2246 SA 135 Mb
hard disk?
Or using SF&I at all -- I would like to correspond with those who use it.
When I called Fujitsu to ask for the manual they said to see the ansi spec.
I have not been able to get it yet. I do have the Seagate SCSI manual.
My drive seems to format OK. During certification it sits quietly for a few
minutes (perhaps the 18000 tick format timeout). Then it says it will install
and mount the drive, then quickly says that installation failed.
Continuing to use the mac eventually results in a crash. I suspect that when
the driver is executed after being read from the disk, some kind of bug
corrupt the system.
When I use the Vanilla SDRV, I get system error 25 "Cannot allocate requested
block in the heap."
Can anyone recommend alternate formatting software? Is the commercial version
of SF&I available?
