[comp.sys.mac] 32-bit Quickdraw's Monitor's cdev

chow@batcomputer.tn.cornell.edu (Christopher Chow) (06/15/89)

I just downloaded the 32-bit quickdraw system from Delphi, which contains a
replacement monitors and general cdevs. Curiously, the new monitors cdev
is missing a convergence check button. What's the official scoop -- is this
an oversight?

No oversight. Color it gone.

OK, now for the bigger question:

WHY is the convergence check gone? I've had occasion to use it when
setting up several different monitors, and it is quite handy. I would suspect
that proper convergence would be even more important for the proper display
of 32-bit QD images than it is for 8-bit images now...
