[comp.sys.mac] Virtual Memory vs Adding More Memory

naiman-jeffrey@CS.YALE.EDU (Jeffrey Naiman) (06/22/89)

As everyone knows, using Multifinder on a 1 meg Plus is difficult. What
do people think about buying more memory vs getting a Virtual Memory
package?
Does anyone know of a good package that will work with a vanilla Plus and
hard drive?
Does anyone know of an inexpensive place to get more memory chips?

Thanks!

Virtual memory packages require the use of extra hardware that is not
present in the mac plus. Adding this hardware is not currently supported by
the memory management packages.

I just bought memory for about $150-180 per MB (price varies by
quantity). I ordered from Technology Works in Texas. I found their
ad in the back of MacWeek. They provided very good service.
