I have a large amount of sound-reinforcement equipment for sale (or
lease to a knowledgable user who requires no handholding).
8 low-frequency "Voice of the Theatre" Horns w/100+ watt
Altec 421 15" bass drivers
2 Complete (w/ 500 Hz passive crossovers) A-7-500 Voice of the Theater
systems (416A woofs, 511A HF horn tweets, 802D hf drivers); 16 ohm.
4 systems comprising 421A 15" woofs in small bass-reflex cabinets,
811A sectoral horns with 802D drivers; includes (only) two crossovers
(8-ohm systems).
Four large Altec multi-cell horns (500Hz) with high-power HF drivers
Two Large JBL radial horns with JBL drivers (All the HF Horns are
ruggedly encased with handles for travel).
Two Altec co-axial two-way stage monitor systems in tilting cabinets
(15" Altec 605B speakers).
Amplifier rack with eight channels of ~130 watt (8 ohm load) very
rugged (never an amp failure in *many* years of commercial sound
work) solid state amps; Two pairs of similar two-channel amps in
Hazely cases. Amps and speakers are connectorized; misc. cables
included.
~1000 feet of connectorized 11-pair snakes (several 250' and 100'
segments, can be daisy chained); stage and console terminal boxes.
Custom made "portable" ~7-foot console w/20 mic inputs, four+
mix busses, pre-fade listen, solo/cue; left-center-right recording
bus w/assign, monitor facilities with electronic crossover, metering,
connectorized to plug directly into snake system. Circuitry is
obsolete by now (early op-amps) but mechanical construction is very
good, fully modular and uses standard dimensions.
Miscellaneous dynamic mikes, mike cables, high-quality mike stands and
booms, other debris of a long-misspent life in the sound business
some years ago. I'm tired of giving this stuff a home, and want to
replace it with somwthing more space-saving, like CASH.
Anyone interested please mail me at topaz!newton2.
