Machine: Mac SE with the latest system (6.1.#) etc, Word 4.0 and quite a few "invisible" files.... Yesterday, while editing a doc with 3 tables (in Word 4.0)), i encountered problems with the screen version of the doc conflicting with the print preview version... After consulting a tech., i found that many system folders exist on my machine. These folders (not introduced to the system by myself) are located by finder, but not visible in the application folder itself. OK, invisble files, right? I used resedit to make them visible. At the advice of my tech., I ran Interferon and found several "anomolies" with the number 103 as type. The documentation, as such, does not address 103. Resedit solved a few of these anomolies, but not all of them. For instance, MacPaint (the folder) shows an anomoly. But it shows no invisible folders thru resedit. The finder and da also show anomolies (I'm not as concerned with these...). Any suggestions, anyone? Anything will help. Is it wise to simply re-initialize the harddisk? Or is this too far fetched??? (Drastic measures??) Replies can be sent e-mail to bentley@cpsvax.UUCP Thanks much! Mary Kay
