Dear Friends, Our first posting regarding this topic received over 45 responses from throughout North America. Thanks are due to all who offered encouragement and support. We've now have in our possession a Lisa 5/10 for an organization of disabled veterans in Managua, Nicaragua. However, the hard disk has sat for a while is not functioning properly and needs replacing. We seem to have most of the software we will need. The computer was donated and we are on a minus shoe-string budget (It'll cost a lot to ship this heavy machine down there). The veterans in Managua are anxious to receive the Lisa and there is support staff there to help (a community of mac users has offered assistance). DOES ANYONE HAVE A HARD DISK FOR THE LISA THEY CAN DONATE? We can arrange for the donation to be tax-deductible if that will help. The cost is approximately $600 to replace it new.
