I have a Dove memory upgrade, model 524E, which took my 512KE Mac from 512k to 1M. I've noticed that the board has room for 32 more 41256-15 RAMs, which would supposedly take me up to 2 megabytes. A call to Dove shot my hopes, though... Dove won't give the info needed to upgrade. According to them, the upgrade path was to buy a 548E board (around $499) and ship my old 524E back to them for a whopping $65 rebate. Golly. Lots more expensive than the cost of the 32 RAMs. It is obvious to me that Dove uses the same circuit board for both the 524E (1 Meg) and 548E (2 Meg) boards... yet they refuse to tell me what traces need to be cut, what non-RAM support chips need to be installed, etc. to make my 524E a 548E. Anybody out there know? How about anyone with a 548E that is willing to describe the board to me? I'd appreciate any help !! -- Bob Kitzberger Internet : telesoft!rlk@ucsd TeleSoft uucp : ...!ucsd.ucsd.edu!telesoft!rlk 5959 Cornerstone Ct.
