A long time ago (circa 1988) I came across a program by Walter J. Biess called Air Traffic Control 4.0. I have two questions on it. One, is there a higher version number? I haven't noticed any real problems with this one, but then again, I haven't used it all that often (read: rarely - see second reason). Second, the program crashes on my Mac II. I have found a way around it, however. The program crashes just after it has completed drawing the initial windows and menus. At the point where it appears to wait for me to select a menu command, it crashes, but resume is enabled, and if I click it, I am returned to the finder. The way around this is to launch the program and to hold down the mouse button in the menu bar as the program starts. If I am quick enough to get a menu to pull down before it has time to "wait", then everything else is great, and the program runs flawlessly from that point on. In fact, once a game is over, and I am returned to the same screen where it crashes at startup, it doesn't. All this leads me to believe that it's a little piece of code that can be fixed with a patch or the like (all this coming from a non-mac programmer). Ok netters, any ideas out there? Any known patches? Please E-mail responses..thanks in advance. ******************************************************************************* * Greg Ford GEnie: G.FORD3 * * Univeristy of Southern California Internet: gford%nunki.usc.edu@usc.edu * *******************************************************************************
