I have a very strange problem with my Mac and I wonder if anyone else has encountered this - or even has a solution for it. I have a Dove MaraThon accelerator board installed in my SE and, wow, does it accelerate! Almost all utilities that accesses the system clock starts getting crazy times from a clock that runs about 3 times as fast as it should. It isn't the clock chip itself that speeds up, so the question is - why doesn't programs get the time directly from the clock chip? It is very notable with some screensavers (Moire, Pyro, FadeToBlack) that displays a running clock on the screen. In there cases it is merely irritating, but the same thing happens with MPW which puts crazy creation times on its files which eventually screws things up for the Make utility. Can anything be done about this (apart from removing the accelerator)? +-------------------------+--------------------------------+------------------+ | Sven Axelsson | d83_sven_a@tekno.chalmers.se | DISCLAIMER: | | dep:t of Linguistics | (^^ best ^^) | | | univ. of Gothenburg | dlv_sa@hum.gu.se | This is not | | SWEDEN | usdsa@seguc21.bitnet | a disclaimer. | +-------------------------+--------------------------------+------------------+
