A friend of mine has suddenly mentioned to me a need for a Chooser-level driver for an HP plotter. Does anyone have a copy of the one that came across comp.binaries.mac a few weeks ago that they could send me? Please contact me by mail FIRST, to avoid the cost to the net of multiple copies! If you recieve a driver for th hp plotters can you e-mail it to me. I am interested to connect a plotter that we have here at Indiana University to the Mac. Thanks. Ignacio Celis 221 Campus View Apts. Ph (812) 857-7038 Bloomington IN 47408. celisi@silver.bacs.indiana.edu

A company called MicroSpot (I think) makes a chooser-level plotter driver called MacPlot. They usually advertise in the classified section of MacWorld/User. It will emulate not just HP plotters, but a number of others as well. It comes with a program called "Configure MacPlot" that allows you to set the plotter type and other stuff. It would probably have been nicer to do that from within the printing dialog box, but I think they did it this way because of memory usage. Oh yes, if you want to see it in action, it also comes bundled with Claris CAD, so find some lab which uses it. The little I've seen works fine. -Ivan Internet: captkidd@athena.mit.edu
