[comp.sys.mac] Address for Apple logo accessories

mfi@beach.cis.ufl.edu (Mark Interrante) (06/28/89)

Hi,
I have seen many people around the University with products that have
the apple logo on it, I asked one person and he mentioned an Apple
catalog that anyone could order from. Could someone please send me
that address (US or e-mail) of the catalog.

Thanks.

I just talked to someone at Apple's company store in Cupertino where they
sell a lot of products such as t-shirts and mugs with Apple logos on them
and they said they don't have a catalog that non-apple employees can order
from. I'm not sure if there's another way of ordering them. They should
make them easier to get. It's great advertisement!

Actually, if you bought an Apple computer and sent in your registration
card, The Apple Collection sends you their catalog, which has anything
you can imagine with the Apple logo on it. We're talking t-shirts, mugs,
mouse pads, clocks, watches, tie pins, beach towels... I think you get
the idea. I don't have their address with me off hand, but I'll let
y'all know as soon as I find my old catalog. I suppose you can ask them
for a catalog; I don't know if they'll actually give you one.

The program is now called the Apple Merchandising Program. It no longer
sells directly to customers, however. Apple employees & departments as
well as Apple resellers can purchase things. The last category includes
authorized Apple dealers, VARs, and college campus resellers.

So I would try contacting the University computer store or your local
dealer. From the information I've seen, it sounds like the catalogs and
details won't be distributed until July, so they may not know anything
about the new program until then.

I used to receive the catalog called the "Apple Collection" and
they have an 800 number for orders. It's a pretty full-color glossy
catalog and used to be sent to anybody who bought a Mac and sent in their
registration card. I have a catalog somewhere at home. Send me mail
if you are interested and I'll give you the number to call as soon as
I find out what it is.
