Ever since I moved to System 6.02/Finder 6.1 from System 6.0,
my Mac Plus has been sluggish. I de-fragmented my Jasmine
20 meg hard drive and added 1.5 meg Ram, but it is still choppy.
Using the Ram cache doesn't seem to change things. I'm not hooked
up to any networks. The key thing is: when I moved to the new
system and finder, I *did not* use the installer! I simply copied
over the system and finder and put in the fonts and da's from the
old system. Could it be that there are some changes that the
installer makes that haven't been made?
If someone could e-mail the answer to me, I'd really appreciate
it!
