[comp.sys.mac] Disk partitions with AppleShare II

amosh@stl.stc.co.uk (07/06/89)

I am soon to take delivery of a 140MB disk drive to add to my
AppleShare file server and would like to partition it to make
it easier to manage.

Can anybody tell me which partitioning software is recognised by
AppleShare II (and for that matter Dumper). I am currently
running AppleShare I with 2 HD40s and dumper for automatic backups
to unix. I will be changing to AppleShare II with one 140MB Rodime
and Dumper and partitions.

I currently use SUM HD partition on several client macs and use
Dumper to successfully back up partitions without having to do the
whole disks. Has anybody tried HD partition with AppleShare II?
Any advice on this topic would be much appreciated.

Thanks

try FWB or MultiDisk or Silver Lining.
They should work. I have tried these three programs and should them
on my AppleShare Network.
