I am having a strange problem switching between US and the Arabic systems.
Here is the relevent information.
Hardware:
MAC IIx, 4mb RAM
Software:
Arabic System Version 6.0.3.
US System Version 6.0.3.
System Switcher to switch between the two systems.
PROBLEM:
When the system is switched in any direction, It comes up OK in Multifinder
and it seems to work OK but the last item in the "apple" menu (About
Multifinder) is always corrupted, and none of the DA's are accessable, seems
like the DA handler is not installed. The "Set Startup" menu item shows
that the current startup application is "Finder" (not Multifinder) although
the system has booted into the Multifinder.
Temporary Solution:
Solution is simply to set the startup application as Multifinder in the
"Set Startup" menu and reboot the system. Everything works OK from then on
till the next system switch. The same problem appears at that time.
Final Solution:
Unknown. Does any body has any idea what is going on over here?
Comments:
I will be doing a lot of experimenting this weekend, If I come up with any
solution I will post it, till then it is a minor hassle to reboot the
system twice to switch the system.
